25th ANNUAL XCEL PRO PRESENTED BY XCEL WETSUITS

Xcel is excited to announce sponsors for the 2008 Xcel Pro Presented by Honolua, a 4-Star ASP WQS event (Sunset Beach, Hawaii).

Honolua Surf Co. is this year's presenting sponsor, joined by associate sponsors Kustom, VonZipper, and Fuel TV.

The Xcel Pro celebrates its 25th anniversary this year, with the official waiting period set for October 26 through November 10. Considered the "kick-off" contest for the famous North Shore winter surf season, the 4-Star Xcel Pro promises plenty of action with WQS ratings points and a $80,000 purse on the line.

This year's Xcel Pro competition will stream live to viewers around the world, via the online Webcast broadcast by Surfing Live. Watch for live action in-the-water footage, beachside interviews, streaming results, and much more - available at www.xcelwetsuits.com once the first heat hits the water. A day of Billabong Junior Pro competition will also run during the Xcel Pro waiting period.

Fuel TV will produce the official Xcel Pro television special airing exclusively on their network. Surf News Network, Oahu's local surf forecasting service, also supports the event as the official contest hotline.
